Development

Our association was founded to bring together young persons of every background and all ages and play organised games for their clubs. We are always happy to welcome new clubs to our league. Drop in and see us – we’d love to meet you!

Girls Football

The League works with Monmouthshire County Council Sports Development and the FAW Trust to help develop Girls Football in Monmouthshire.

Currently there are no girls leagues in Monmouthshire or in Gwent due to lack of teams for small sided and competitive football. Junior Clubs in Monmouthshire with girls teams can curently enter them into the South Wales Womens and Girls League.

Girls can also participate in mixed teams in the Monmouthshire junior League where there are inadequate female players to set up and run girls teams in the local club(s).

Gwent County FA hope to be able to provision girls football at the county level, as girls football develops.

East Gwent Junior League (Now Monmouthshire Junior League) win the Gwent County U16 Inter-league Cup 2014/15
