When the season starts, fixtures, results and tables will appear on FAW Comet system for each club, and on the FAW Cymru App for parents and spectators.

• The U14s league is finalised with 16 teams.  Each team to play each other once, then the league will split into two divisions (top 8 and bottom 8) and teams will play each other once more within their division. 
• There is an U14s knock-out cup competition which will have 3 rounds and a final.  The draw for the cup round is yet to be made.
• Any postponed competitive league games will be rearranged by the league.
• The league will postpone games on a fixture date when an U14s Club team has a Gwent County FA U16s CUP game, and this will be rearranged by the league.
• Kick off times for U14s games are as follows
  • If a Monmouthshire home venue, then kick-off is 12:30pm
  • If a Newport home venue, then kick-off is 2:00pm
• Should there be a pitch availability issue for a fixture then an alternative kick-off time that day can be played, subject to the agreement of both clubs and sanction from this league. 
• Every team is required to compete a roster before the season starts and on match day you will only be able to select players for team line up from that roster.
• All teams are to comply with FAW Return to Football Protocols in force at the time, which may change thoughout the season.  League Rules apply.
• U14s play 11v11 game format.

• All friendly games are to be played using the new small sided format.
• Friendly games are not mandatory.
• Note that due to travel restrictions across borders players will not be able to go into England to train or play games and players will not be allowed to come into Wales to train or play games. 

Under 14s Friendly Match format for season 2020-21 will be as per Under 12s, and the numbers of people permitted to be involved in the match are as follows: 

      9v9 game format or 7v7 game format

• 12 players per squad = 24 players across both teams
• Up to 2 coaches/first aiders/team helpers per team = 4 coaches/first aiders across both teams*
• 1 COVID-19 Compliance Officer / Operational Lead (home team)*
• 1 Referee
• TOTAL = Maximum 30 persons involved in the match

* Away team coach and/or first aider will need to double up as COVID Operational Lead for that team and ensure registers are handed to home team COVID 19 Officer or Operational Lead. This is to ensure essential match personnel remain within the 30 person limit.

Please note that GARDEN CITY U14s are unable to field a team during November.

Normal kick off time for league and Cup games is as follows:

• The kick-off times for all U14 games when played at Monmouthshire home team grounds is 12.30pm.  However, if both teams agree a different time and a pitch is available, then the league will sanction it on request to the league. 
• The kick-off times for all U14s games when played at Newport home team grounds will kick-off time set by Newport District league 2:00pm or 2:15pm.  
• Gwent County U14 Junior Cup games will be played on a Saturday morning at a time set by the Gwent County FA.

Players are ineligible to play games unless their status on COMET is "CONFIRMED" and they have electronic Comet ID.

We welcome a number of U14s teams from the Newport District Junior Youth League for this season only. 13 teams entered

U14s have league, Cup and Gwent County Cup competitions this season. With the large number of teams the league will be run to the following format in order to complete the league during the season. League game postponements due to Gwent U14s cup as well as the usual 3 or 4 weather related postponements need to be taken into account in order to plan completion of the league.

1. Each team will play each other once during the first half of the season.
2. The league will then split into 2 divisions - the top 6 and bottom 7
   • If 2 teams are on equal points (=6 postion) before the split before they the result between the two teams will count. If this was a draw then the total numbers of goal difference will count as published in the fixture results
3. Points from the first half the season will be carried forward into the divisions. Teams in the divisions will play each other once again
4. There will be league winners (division 1), and division 2 winners

NORMAL KICK-OFF TIME 12:30 PM.

THIS IS A JOINT U14/U13 LEAGUE PLAYED TO A SPECIFIC FORMAT FOR SEASON 2015-16:

• 11-a-side games on full size pitch with full size goals
• All teams play each other once and then the league will be split into two divisions - Top 5 teams and bottom 5 teams - Each team will play their opponents twice in their divisions;
• If teams are on equal points when the split is made then the games between each other will decide on the placings. If this is still tied them the management committee will decide. 
• Points from the first half of the season will be carried forward into the divisions.
• There are separate U13s and U14s Cup competitions

All players need to be licensed and registered by member clubs before they can play organised football
